L’European Bonsai-San Show, à Saulieu, sera le premier grand rendez-vous européen du bonsaï cet automne. Les 6 et 7 octobre, Frédéric Chenal, l’organisateur, réunira à nouveau au parc des expositions de la ville plus d’une centaine de bonsaïs parmi les plus beaux du continent. Un jury – composé de Luis Baliño, Salvatore Liporace, Danny Use et Kim Seok Ju– remettra quatre prix, tandis que douze partenaires de l’événement attribueront chacun un prix selon une catégorie qu’ils auront choisi au préalable. Esprit Bonsaï récompensera le meilleur grand feuillu et offrira une superbe calligraphie de Denise Lach au propriétaire de l’arbre.
Pas moins de onze démonstrateurs européens et coréens feront des démonstrations simultanées pendant le week-end sur un podium se trouvant au centre de la salle de démonstrations. De grands noms internationaux du bonsaï : Luis Baliño et Jorge Campos (Espagne), Salvatore Liporace et Luigi Maggioni (Italie), Danny Use (Belgique), Kim Seok Ju,Her Youn Hang, Kang Sook Hoon, Lee Kwang Jong, Choi Song Ho et Cho Won Dong (Corée).
Un marché parmi les plus grands d’Europe proposera outils, arbres et prébonsaïs, plantes, poteries, livres et magazines, sumi-e, etc.

European Bonsai-San Show 2018
The European Bonsai-San Show, in the French town of Saulieu, will be the first big European bonsai gathering this autumn. On 6 and 7 October, Frédéric Chenal, the organiser, will again bring together more than a hundred of the continent’s finest bonsai, at the town’s exhibition centre. A panel of judges – comprising Luis Baliño, Salvatore Liporace, Danny Use and Kim Seok Ju – will award four prizes, while 12 event partners will each contribute a prize in a category that they will have chosen beforehand. Esprit Bonsai International will reward the owner of the best large broadleaf with a beautiful piece of calligraphy by Denise Lach.
No fewer than 11 European and Korean demonstrators will lead simultaneous demonstrations over the weekend, on a podium situated at the centre of the demonstrations room. Some of bonsai’s big international names: Luis Baliño and Jorge Campos (Spain), Salvatore Liporace and Luigi Maggioni (Italy), Danny Use (Belgium), Kim Seok Ju, Her Youn Hang, Kang Sook Hoon, Lee Kwang Jong, Choi Song Ho and Cho Won Dong (Korea).
One of Europe’s biggest markets will offer tools, trees and prebonsai, plants, pottery, books and magazines, sumi-e, etc.

1–5.30 p.m: simultaneous demonstrations by Luis Baliño and Jorge Campos; Salvatore Liporace and Luigi Maggioni; Danny Use; Kim Seok Ju and Her Youn Hang.
7 p.m.: award ceremony, open to the public.

11.30 a.m.: grand raffle
