Nous vous avions présenté ce club dans Esprit Bonsaï n°86 : la Swindon & District Bonsai Society promeut le bonsaï depuis 40 ans au Royaume-Uni. Chaque année, en février, elle organise son "Winter Image Show", un événement majeur pour les amateurs !

Cette année, le Club a fêté ses 40 ans ! Découvrez les arbres récompensés lors de cette édition 2017

Professionnels et clubs en visite disposent chacun d’un espace d’exposition. Sept prix ont été remis cette année : Meilleur feuillu, Meilleur conifère, Meilleur shohin, Meilleure exposition d’un club en visite (ces prix sont sponsorisés par John Pitt Ceramics), Meilleure association pot/ arbre (prix sponsorisé par Walsall Studio Ceramics), Meilleure plante d’accent (prix sponsorisé par Mendip Bonsai Studio), Meilleur concurrent innovant (prix sponsorisé et présenté par Dan Barton).

In Esprit Bonsai International #86, we presented to you the Swindon & District Bonsai Society that promotes bonsai in the UK for 40 years. Every year, in February, the Swindon & District Bonsai Society organises its Winter Image Show, a major event according to British bonsai lovers.

This year is the 40th Anniversary of Swindon Bonsai Club! Discover the 2017 edition awarded trees

Spaces for display are allocated to professionals and visiting clubs. Seven awards will be given this year: Best Deciduous, Best Conifer, Best Shohin, Best Visiting Club Display (all sponsored by John Pitt Ceramics), Best Pot/Tree Combination (sponsored by Walsall Ceramics), Best Accent Plant (sponsored by Mendip Bonsai), Best Innovative Entry (sponsored and presented by Dan Barton).

Dai-Hoju-ten Exhibition in Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Nikko, from 15th to 25 th October.

This year, Japan is planning some special exhibition, as Dai-Hoju-ten Exhibition in Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Nikko, from 15th to 25 th October.

This exhibition is an event which celebrate the 400th anniversary of the death of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first one Shogun of Edo Period.

About 200 trees will be display.

This bonsai exhibition will also become a hot topic !

Nikko Toshogu Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. It is a part of the Shrines and Temples of Nikko, a UNESCO World heritage site.

The 15th Dedication Bonsai Exhibition, Tokyo

The 15th Dedication Bonsai Exhibition was held in Meiji Jingu Shrine, Tokyo, from 5th to 10th June.

This dedication bonsai exhibition was showing 20 trees : Japanese white pine, red pine, black pine, junipers (shimpaku), maple, satsuki, and others.
