An exhibition of quality individual bonsai trees supported by the Heathrow Bonsai Show team. This is an independent event aimed at the individual enthusiast, whether a club member or not. The event will consist of a display of approx. 100 show quality trees along with support from a number of well known bonsai traders.

Une exposition de bonsaïs individuels de qualité soutenue par l'équipe du Heathrow Bonsai Show. Il s'agit d'un événement indépendant qui s'adresse aux passionnés, qu'ils soient membres du club ou non. L'événement consistera en une exposition d'environ 100 arbres de qualité avec le soutien d'un certain nombre d'exposants de bonsaïs bien connus.

The Autumn Shohin Exhibition is a new show celebrating all things shohin & the autumn season.

This show is being organised by a small group under the direction of John Armitage.

The new venture will run along side but independently to the already popular Doncaster Bonsai Boot Sale at Markham Grange Nursery in Brodsworth, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England on 23rd September 2018.

During the day we will have a few demonstrators including John Armitage and Rammon Hamers, there will also be an auction (auction items will be shown nearer the time of the show on the Facebook page) and various awards will be given for the exhibits.

Submissions will close at the end of June 2018 so please just drop us a message via our Facebook page or an email with your details and photos of the trees would like to display.

Staging for the show will be between 8:00 & 10:00 & the show will run between 10:00 & 15:00.

La Autumn Shohin Exhibition est une nouvelle expo qui célèbre tous les shohins ainsi que la saison de l'automne.

Cette expo est organisée par un petit groupe sous la direction de John Armitage.

Cette nouvelle aventure se déroulera parallèlement à la très populaire vente Doncaster Bonsai Boot Sale à la Markham Grange Nursery à Brodsworth, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Angleterre le 23 septembre 2018.

Vous retrouverez tout au long de la journée des démonstrateurs, parmi lesquels John Armitage et Rammon Hamers. Il y aura également une vente aux enchères (les articles mis aux enchères seront affichés sur la page Facebook avant l'expo) et plusieurs prix seront remis pour les arbres exposés.

Les candidatures se termineront à la fin du mois de juin 2018, vous pouvez envoyer envoyer un message via la page Facebook ou un e-mail avec vos coordonnées et les photos des arbres que vous souhaitez exposer.

La mise en place pour l'expo aura lieu entre 8h00 et 10h00 et l'expo se déroulera entre 10h00 et 15h00.

Expo Bonsai UK : A new event in UK 8th April 2018

Expo Bonsai UK, a new bonsai show in the UK, will be held 8th April 2018 in Hayes, Middlesex

It responds to the need for a quality show for individuals in the south of England run along the same lines as the already successful Heathrow Bonsai Show but for individual exhibitors rather than clubs. The aim is to give each exhibitor a chance to show a quality tree and display it to the best of their ability within a good size area. There will be approximatively 100 trees on show.
The show is being run with the full support of The Heathrow Bonsai Show and indeed uses their current venue and show benches/cloth for its first event.

Potential exhibitors can contact ebuk18@gmail.com to request an entry form and further details. There are already a large number of traders booked in to the show and enthusiasm is very high amongst them.

Un peu de poésie

Dans son article Bonsaï : L’Art du Temps paru dans Esprit Bonsaï 74, François Jeker s'exprimait sur le temps qui passe et la survivance des arbres à une vie humaine. A la re-lecture de ce texte, Guy Caruso, un lecteur du Loiret, a écrit un poème qu'il nous livre.

Une belle joie

Devenu précieux arbre cadeau

Tu es resté petit et beau

Le matin où je t’ai prélevé

Dans cette forêt élevée

En échange d’un geste adroit

Tu m’as procuré une belle joie

Et puis les jours ont défilés

Laissant les années s’écouler

Mais pour toi, petit arbre chaleureux

Au charme établi et vigoureux

Qui m’a accompagné jusqu’à aujourd’hui

Telle une présence paisible et épanouie

Il est temps, depuis que la vieillesse m’a blêmi,

De te trouver un nouvel ami
